Blue Mahjong
Blue Mahjong, also known as Mahjong Blue, is a blue-themed tile-matching game. All parts of the playfield have a blue color or tint (i.e., a light blue backdrop, gradient white-to-blue tile faces, and royal blue tile backs). The blue colors mark the only difference between this game and most classic pyramid pattern versions.
As with other Mahjong games, the player wins by removing all tiles from the field by matching pairs of specific identical and themed tiles. The game offers no other challenges, such as attempting to achieve a high score or race against a countdown clock. The only real challenge is to maintain focus and play well with so much blue acting as a distraction.
All tiles in Blue Mahjong have classic Chinese bamboo, characters and stones divided into numbered arrangements. It also has dragon symbols, plants and seasons. All of these images have lighter versions of the traditional blue, green and red colors, accented at times with yellow.
The player can only select uncovered tiles with one free left or right side to remove tiles and reveal the covered tiles and new pairs. The game provides no tools to assist, such as hints, shuffles or boosters.
With the lower-right corner semicircular back arrow, the player can reload the same pattern with a different distribution of tiles in the event that they have no remaining moves.
